January Chance Meetings— Mentors in Action: Insight into the TEAM Approach

  • The Rose 50 West Broadway Jackson, WY (map)

PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE DUE TO NEW YEARS DAY HOLIDAY!

Theme: Mentors in Action — Insight into the TEAM Approach

TEAMS, our world-class mentoring program formed to accelerate the development of entrepreneurs in the Teton region has, in the past 18 months, become the cornerstone of Silicon Couloir's programs. From our May 2018 pilot of six ventures and sixteen mentors, we have grown to serve 18 local ventures with 36 expert mentors.

TEAMS is based on the proven MIT Venture Mentor Services program. Each selected venture is assigned a team of three to five mentors with one lead mentor. The group mentoring model has shown to be extremely effective for entrepreneurs as a variety of insights, opinions, and strategies are offered by a team of mentors, each of whom has different expertise and experience. The result is a dynamic, multi-faceted mentoring session.

To kick off the new year, we will offer a taste of the TEAMS model to Chance Meeting attendees. Six of our seasoned mentors will show the team mentoring model in action by taking audience member questions relating to their business. Four audience members will be be given a seven-minute mini-mentor session.  So bring your business questions, challenges, and problems and gain new perspectives. Please note that any question or problem posed to the mentor panel should not contain confidential company information or the names of individuals.

FREE & open to all! We believe that great things don’t happen in a vacuum, and we encourage everyone to venture out to network once a month at Chance Meetings. This is an informative, casual, fun networking event that takes place the first Monday of every month from 5 – 7 pm at The Rose (50 W Broadway Ave in Jackson). Have an idea? Have a question? Experience to share? Looking for like-minded people? We average 65 – 85 attendees, with new faces in the audience each month. Content ranges from panel discussions to speed networking. Everyone is welcome. Show up, bring ideas, ask questions!
